Dallas Stars winger Roope Hintz will not play in Wednesday's Game 5 against the Avalanche because of an upper-body injury.

Dallas leads the series 3-1 and can close it out.

Winnipeg forward Vladislav Namestnikov and defenseman Brenden Dillon are recovering from injuries and won't be available for Game 5 against Colorado on Tuesday night as the Jets try to avoid playoff elimination.

The Colorado Avalanche will be without forward Jonathan Drouin for their first-round playoff series against Winnipeg due to a lower-body injury.

Drouin got hurt when he tripped in the second period Thursday against Edmonton. He skated off the ice and didn't return.

MacKinnon wrapped up the regular season with 140 points (51 goals, 89 assists) to top Peter Stastny's franchise record of 139 set in 1981-82 when the club was in Quebec.

Colorado Avalanche forward Mikko Rantanen remains in concussion protocol and will miss their game Sunday night against the Central Division-leading Dallas Stars.

It ends his streak of consecutive games at 161, which was the longest on the team. Rantanen's absence is a blow for the Avalanche, who trail the Stars by three points with five games remaining. The 27-year-old Finnish forward has 40 goals and 62 assists this season.

The Colorado Avalanche signed goaltender Justus Annunen on Tuesday to a two-year contract extension through the 2025-26 season.

Financial terms were not disclosed, but Annunen -- who could have become a restricted free agent on July 1 -- will have a cap hit of around $833,000 on a one-way deal, according to ESPN's Kevin Weekes.

Annunen, who turned 24 on March 11, is currently paid $775,000 on a two-way deal that pays $225,000 in the AHL.
