Blue Jackets Trade Carter To Hurricanes For Draft Pick

Press Release - The Columbus Blue Jackets have traded forward Anson Carter to the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for a fifth round pick in the 2008 National Hockey League Entry Draft, club President and General Manager Doug MacLean announced today.

Carter, 32, signed a free agent contract with the Blue Jackets in September. He appeared in 54 games with the club, tallying 10 goals and 17 assists for 27 points with 16 penalty minutes. In 664 career NHL games, he has registered 201-219-420 with 225 penalty minutes. [READ]
